Draft for review. A lawyer is checking this page before Stavore launches, so the wording may change. It already describes how Stavore works today.
In short: try Plus free for 14 days, then pay US$10 a month or US$100 a year, or use the Free plan. Your records stay yours and you can export them any time. You look after your guests' data; we process it for you. Check what the AI assistant drafts before you save it.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Stavore, run from Voi, Kenya ("Stavore", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Stavore you agree to them, to our privacy policy and to our data processing agreement, which is part of these terms. If you use Stavore for a business, you confirm that you can agree for it.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give an email address that you control.
- Keep your email account and devices secure: anyone who can open your sign-in email can sign in as you.
- The owner of a business decides who is on its team and what role they have, and is responsible for what the team does in Stavore.
3. Plans, the trial and fair use
- Stavore has a Free plan and a paid Plus plan. What each includes is on our pricing page.
- Every business starts on the Free plan. The business owner can start one free Plus trial of 14 days per business, at any time before paying for Plus. No payment details are needed. If you don't pay by the end of the trial, the business moves back to the Free plan.
- On the Free plan nothing is deleted. Units over the Free limit are locked (you can still see and export them), and extra team members are paused until you upgrade.
- Plus includes up to 25 active units, 5 people and 300 AI messages a month per business. Ask us if you need more.
4. Paying for Plus
- Plus costs US$10 a month or US$100 a year, in US dollars, paid in advance by M-Pesa or by card through our payment partner, Paystack.
- Each payment covers one month or one year from when your current Plus time ends. Plans don't renew automatically yet: we remind you by email before your plan runs out.
- If you don't renew, you keep Plus for 3 more days, then your business moves to the Free plan.
- If we charge you by mistake, or twice for the same period, we refund the extra. Otherwise payments for a period that has started aren't refundable, unless the law says they must be.
- We may change prices. We'll tell account owners at least 30 days before, and a new price never applies to a period you have already paid for.
5. Your data
- You own the records you put into Stavore. You allow us to store and process them only to run Stavore for you, as our privacy policy and data processing agreement describe.
- You can export your records at any time, on any plan (More → Reports and export).
- We may use counts that identify no one (for example, how many stays are logged each month) to run and improve Stavore.
6. Your guests' data and the law
For the personal data you record about guests, owners and your team, you are the data controller under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, and Stavore is your data processor. You confirm that:
- you have a lawful reason to record each person's details;
- you tell guests how you use their details;
- you only send offers to guests who agreed to receive them;
- you record ID or passport numbers only when you need them, and set how long they are kept (Settings → Business);
- you answer people who ask to see, correct or delete their details;
- you are registered with the ODPC if the law requires it for your business.
7. The AI assistant and AI reports
- The AI assistant and AI reports are part of Plus. The assistant reads your messages to prepare drafts. It can misread a message, so check each draft before you save it. You are responsible for what you save.
- The figures in reports are worked out by Stavore from your records. The written summary is by AI. We check it against the figures, but it can still be wrong.
- Nothing in Stavore is tax, legal or financial advice. Ask your accountant about your tax.
- WhatsApp and Telegram have their own terms, which apply when you use them to reach the assistant.
8. Using Stavore fairly
Please don't:
- use Stavore to break the law or someone else's rights;
- record personal data you have no right to hold;
- send spam or bulk messages through the assistant;
- try to reach another business's records or get around plan limits;
- copy, resell or take apart Stavore, or overload it with automated requests.
9. Keeping Stavore running
We work hard to keep Stavore available and your records safe, but we can't promise it will never be down or free of mistakes. We may change or improve features. If a change takes away something a paid plan includes, we'll tell account owners first.
10. Closing an account
- You can stop using Stavore at any time. An owner can delete a business in Settings → Data: its records are deleted 7 days later, and until then any owner can keep it. Plus time that's left isn't refunded. Export your records first if you want a copy.
- You can delete your account yourself in More → Delete my account, after a warning. It happens at once and can't be undone: your sign-in and the businesses you own are deleted with everything in them, and Plus time that's left isn't refunded. Export your records first if you want a copy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. We tell you why, unless the law stops us, and give you a chance to export your records where we can.
11. Our liability
- We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost bookings, profits or business opportunities.
- Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.
12. Disputes and the law
Kenyan law applies to these terms. If you have a problem, please contact us first. If we can't solve it together within 30 days, either of us may take it to the courts of Kenya.
13. Changes to these terms
We'll post any change on this page with a new date. For an important change, we email account owners at least 14 days before it applies. If you keep using Stavore after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can export your records and close your account.
